- This is a moderated, family-oriented Message Board. The forum moderator reserves the right to remove any offensive posting. While discussion of issues is encouraged and differences in opinion are expected, obscene language, name calling and "flaming", and obnoxious "spamming", etc. will NOT be allowed. We expect all users to respect each other and where appropriate, "agree to disagree."
- This Forum is provided as a venue for local announcements, for discussion of local issues,
and to instantly publicize urgent information (missing family member, fire, flood, etc.). Issues that do not pertain to the residents of the greater Laytonville area in particular, and issues affecting Mendocino county in general, are discouraged and may be removed. There are other forums that are more appropriate for the discussion of, state, national and international issues. Again, your comments are invited.

- Service Area. The proposed service area for this board includes Branscomb, Laytonville, Leggett, Dos Rios, Longvale, and Covelo. I will be offering Covelo un-metered toll-free access by the end of the month, as well as other isolated pockets not now served by our three in county I.S.P.'s. The Laytonville Forum may spin off other boards through-out the county as traffic and community desires indicate.
- The moderator. It is the intent that the torch be passed to other interested, capable, and responsible persons at an interval to be determined, probably three months. You will be responsible for monitoring and removing out of date and inappropriate postings to the board as described in paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 above. You will have full administrative access except for changing the password, and email sent to the moderator email will be automatically forwarded to your existing email box from MendoNet. No changes are required to the moderators present email box. I program it at the server.
- This board is an experiment. If it is used and not abused, it will grow to become and integral part of the community. Job offerings, missing dog, gallery showing, housing wanted, firehouse dance, abalone feed, community programs, a little unobnoxious spam, and then of course discussion threads.
