SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF MENDOWEB & MENDONET
To provide a Global Venue for products and services available from Mendocino County, California.
To offer general information to Global visitors about where we are, who we are, and what we do.
To support and expand Community Services information for the residents of Mendocino County.
To generally promote commerce with the global marketplace, and community resource access.
To utilize and administer a world class server platform from which to broadcast commercial and public interest web sites pertaining to Mendocino County.
GENERAL SYSTEM INFORMATION

MendoNet and MendoWeb are sister Web-Sites initially created in 1995. From their very inception, they were designed to be totally integrated information systems, providing both global venues for Mendocino county businesses and organizations, as well as public service community information. Both Domain Names are formally registered with interNIC.
Both commerce and the exchange of public information are exploding on the Internet and the World Wide Web. Our traffic now stands at over a million hits at this writing. Servers are scrambling to expand, upgrade, and compete, while access providers are likewise working to keep up with the constantly changing (and improving) programming and presentation resources available to us.
As the WWW is now doubling every nine months, we moved the MendoNet system to a class "A" server in April 1997 to enhance delivery services and prepare for future growth. The MendoNet system is now connected to Five Internet Backbones, providing unparalleled speed and reliability. For additional information, please take a look at our hosting page.
